Two months ago, I attended a funeral of a relative. This person was 32 years old, but had lived all his life in pain.It broke my heart that for all this time, this person was down.
I was encouraged though by the parents. They never saw this child as a burden. They treated him so special, and took care of him. They didn’t live him to be dirty, to starve, they took care of him at all times. This meant praying with him, feeding him, staying with him all the time.I was so overwhelmed by the Love they had showed to Joshua.
Psalms 46:10 ” Be still and know that I am God, I will be exalted among the nation’s, I will be exalted in the earth.
Even in the situation Joshua was, his parents were aware of God, they did all they did with gratitude. They were strengthened by God.To press on.Tgat encouraged me.
I look back, and want to encourage each one of us, that what ever it is we are going through, let’s get the courage to stand and know that he us God.And he is exalted among the earth.
I want to celebrate all those that have had children with disabilities. Those that have taken care of children with special needs. For the selflessness ,that most times goes unnoticed.Thank you so much for giving of your time, for loving these children.
Thank you for putting aside all the time and loving on these children.Your labour is not in vein. The things you do behind the scenes are so muchly appreciated.
